SCP 963-3 - Izuku's Opinion (2024)

Class B had similar reactions, and it was enjoyable to see said reactions. Monoma in particular was a strange but amusing case, as he simultaneously relied on his quirk, even when he was technically quirkless 90 percent of the time. Although they failed the exercise, they understood that they still had a long way to go, which Izuku respected. He didn't laugh at any of them, and felt bad, since none of them had done anything against him. In the end, Nezu ended up chewing Toshinori for not letting him know what he was doing, but secretly he was proud of the man for his choice of lesson, even with Izuku there. However, if Nezu was in Izuku's position, he wouldn't have held back any criticism. But, the chimera was a bit of a petty individual when it comes to personal matters.

Wednesday had no issues, as Nezu mainly taught them many skills from deductive reasoning to argumentation, both persuasive and legal. In Eve's case he provided math, science, and literature studies while he gave Izuku a task to overview UA's security footage from the USJ event and the proceeding days before. He compiled all of the evidence, Nezu wrapping up with Eve as he did so. Approaching Izuku's position, he asked, "What do you make of the evidence?"

Izuku gave his findings to him. With a sigh, he started with what seemed obvious. "It seems straightforward. A new villain group wants to establish itself... it seems normal... until you get to the nomu. It clearly was made by someone who has an understanding of quirks... or All For One. And it's more realistic to assume that it is the result of AFO. What concerns me most is Shigaraki Tomura. He acts like a petulant child... one in line for a throne."

Nezu hadn't considered this approach. "You don't think..."
"He could be preparing him to be the next him... this could be a sign that the damage Allmight did was too severe even for the unlimited number of quirks that AFO had."

Nezu kept his characteristic smile, even though he was nervous. If his species could sweat, he would've. "But the devil never gives away his power without a catch."
Izuku nodded as Nezu sipped some tea to calm himself. "I agree. Either him becoming the next great villain is the prerequisite, or... there's more to AFO than we understand. Or quirks, for that matter."

Eve, who had been listening the whole time, asked, "You don't think he found a way to... transfer his consciousness... do you?"
Izuku confirmed his suspicions. "It's highly likely that's his end goal. Capturing Shigaraki would be the best way to counter him. If nothing else, killing would be the last resort."
Nezu agreed, proud of Izuku's development. Overall, he still was empathetic with people, but it had been tempered against what needed to be done. "Indeed. It's good to see you adopt some lines of thinking from the Foundation. Good work. I have nothing more to teach you today. If you would like, you can join a hero class for the rest of the day."
"I'd rather help Eve learn what she needs to know." The brunette stopped, and looked between the two of them. Fear rose through her eyes, as she was already mentally fatigued by Nezu's method of teaching.
The white furred mammal smiled, glad to see someone take education seriously, even to the chagrin of their partner. "That also works for me. Can I leave you two to study? I have some things to take care of."
With a smile, and a slam of a head against a desk, Izuku replied as Eve screamed into her sleeves... "No problem, Site Director."

Nezu left his office, accessing a hidden room behind his bookshelf. He'd had it custom built, as a miniature version of his main office. It was where he preferred to be, but he did have to keep up appearances. However, as his students were using the human sized office as their study room, he could use this one for his actual work.

Many students here needed proper direction. Hitoshi Shinsou, Year 1. Nejire Hado, Year 3. Bakugo Katuski, Year 1. Neito Monoma, Year 1. All students Aizawa would dub "Problem children". It was not Nezu's job to interact with them, but it was his job to make sure they wouldn't become a problem later. All were powerful, but all had personality issues. Shinsou: Rejected due to the ineffective robot test he couldn't change. Hado: Lacks common sense that often got her in trouble. Katsuki: A bully with an ugly personality, but powerful quirk. Monoma: A severe case of inferiority complex, probably due to the nature of his quirk. He'd guide these, and the rest of the students under his care. Send Aizawa to intercept Katsuki before he reaches my office... Have Vlad continue to assist Monoma with quirkless training... send Midnight to help Shinsou... Ah, manipulating people is just too easy... His thoughts were interrupted by the phone ringing... this one was the black one used for his... other work. Picking it up, he chirped, "Hello, Site Director Nezu speaking."
A familiar voice responded back, "Hello Nezu."
A smirk lined his face as he recognized the cold, feminine voice on the other side. "Director Rabenherz, a pleasure to hear from you."

Instead of continuing formalities, she went straight to business. Just as expected. "How is the assignment going?"
With a sigh of annoyance, Nezu continued, "So far, not much progress. He's been hiding. Although Izuku and I agree that he is the true figurehead of the self dubbed, "League of Villains"."

She hummed with... satisfaction. At least with Izuku's progress on the matter. "I see. At least we know where to start. Onto a lighter note, how is my son doing?"

Smiling at finding the new chink in her previously impenetrable social armor, he reported. "He's doing well. He's mastered surveillance, espionage tactics, and detective skills that I could teach. He still has a few other minor topics to cover, but he has done very well."
The mammal could almost hear her voice laced with uncharacteristic smugness. "As I knew he would." However, onto the next topic. "What about Eve, his assistant?"
"We have caught her up to 11th grade studies. She is not as talented in the study department as Izuku is, but shows dedication to her work."

While she was pleased, it wasn't as obvious as it was with Izuku. "Good." Nezu wasn't sure he heard correctly when he heard that she'd adopted a son, but it was clear now, that he heard her talk about them. She was definitely his mother at this point.

However, he was also curious about other... rumors that he'd heard. "I heard you were having some troubles with your C Class Acquisitions Director, Jeffery Richardson, was it?"

Isa's voice returned to its typical tone and tenor as she, robotically replied. "That is an internal matter, Nezu. Have a good day." She hung up before he could continue further. He chuckled, then turned back to his work. She hasn't ever changed. I hope that she isn't dragged into the 05 politics.
